Aprils car of the night was won by
Mark Lander who owns a very nice Sapphire Cosworth 2wd
Mark has owned the car for 6 years and has been a surrey
group member for 5 years.
He has recently had some work completed on the car which
includes New 200 block, Low compression pistons,
lightened and balanced, Group A Head, T34 Turbo, Blue
Injectors. The car has been set up by Ahmed at Grove
Garage and is running 380bhp.
Future plans for the car include a rear beam conversion |
May’s car of the night was won by
John Harle who owns a stunning White Escort RS Turbo.
John has owned the car for just over a year but has made
many changes to the car since purchasing it.
Firstly the wheels were in to be refurbished once these
were back John decided that some engine modifications
ere in order so down to Power Engineering it was, then
out came the polish and some chrome under the bonnet.
More plans for the car are stage 3 T3 and stage 2 head
with high lift cam. |

Owner John Terry, Has had the Escort
Cosworth 8 Years now. Its had 310bhp, K&N cone, Carbon
Front Spoiler and Hockey Sticks, 18” MO’s and Mongoose
Exhaust. John has no future plans at the moments maybe a
330bhp conversion but wants to keep the Cosworth
reliable Well as you all would agree a very nice example
and well worth the title of Junes car of the night Well
done John. |
| Car of the night was won by Lee
Charnick. Lee has owned the car for a couple of years.
It has been converted from small turbo to large turbo.
Lee purchased the car from a current Surrey Group member
and has kept the car in very good shape. |

Turbo Series 2. John has owned the car for just over a
year, and has had a lot of work done under the bonnet
with more planned. |
Car of the night for September was
won by Helen Bowles who owns a very smart Sapphire
Cosworth 4x4. Helen has owned the car since April this
year.
The car has a Stage 3 Conversion done by Mark Shead of
M.A.Developments.
Helen has a engine re-build planned for the car at the
end of the year. |
