 CENTRAL DAY
Central Day for us started on Saturday, with a convoy up to Wellingbough, for a get together for a few drinks ! :-)
We met up with Steve, Sam, Chris, Alex, Faye, Ollie, John & Kirsty, Rich & Lisa on sunny saturday afternoon, once on the road convoy went quite well, Steve and Sam were constantly reminding me to turn my indicators off on the motorway !!! But then Steve started doing the same haha !

We made good time and arrived at hotel at 6.30pm ready for the nights festivities. Met up with a group of petrol-heads from passionford.com. There was a nice little pub at the hotel where we started, had a few drinks in there as well as a nice meal.

Later in the night, one of the girls piped up and said Michelle from Big Brother is stood at the bar, no-one belived her at first, until i met her in the toilets of all places ! Sure enough it was her, so her group of friends joined us for a drink. Then it was off to a nearby club, where a good night was had by all !
Early start was breakfast at 8am, then round everyone up to convoy to Santa Pod, we eventually got there after getting caught in traffic queing up to get in.

When we arrived there was a good turnout of Surrey Group members, so after organizing the stand to make it look presentable.
The weather held off quite well, it did look like rain but held off until 3.30 ish when we were getting ready to make our way home.
We had a small competition for car of the Stand, with trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Winners are below :
1st Alex Burness - Focus RS
2nd Dean Osbourne - Escort Cosworth
3rd Matthew Lorimer - Sierra 3dr Cosworth
Well Done to the above members.
There was some good strip action, with plenty of Ford’s having a go on the strip, as well as some rather crazy Fiat’s and of course the Jet Car.
A good day was had by all so Roll on the next show :-)
