FEBRUARY 2006
Welcome to February s meet
night , if you did not attend Januarys AGM meet
night you will be glad to see we have a new
committee, These are as follows :-
Chairman – Dave Moss
Secretary – Helen Bowles
Treserur – Paul James
Club Helpers – Faye, Alex, Ollie, Steve, Raoul,
Mark, Zoe, Nigel and Pauline
CHAIRMANS CHAT!
Firstly I would like to thank Micky for his last 2
years hard work as Chairman and hope he continues
supporting the club.
After having a committee meeting and looking how the
club has been going I feel that the website needed
changing. At the committee meeting I asked Ollie to
attend because he has a lot of website experience
which he can bring to the club. Ollie was able to
bring a mock up of the new website which is now up
and running and can be found at
www.surreyrsownersclub.co.uk.
If you have not visited the website before please do
and to the members that have you will find a massive
change with some new benefits which are a forum full
of new information.
The reason for this change is due to the old website
taking lots of time to maintain and we only had
Raoul to maintain it. So a big thanks to Raoul for
keeping the website going.
Club venue was discussed for possible new location
but for us to be able to do this we need to get an
idea of where our members are based so on the
signing on table there will be a new box by your
name for your postcode if you could fill it in
please and also your e’mail address to enable us to
keep in contact with members with regards to Shows
and Events.
I really hope you enjoy the new changes to the club
and if you have any questions that you would like me
to answer please come and see me.
Dave Moss
Chairman
SHOWS
We are now moving very close to the show season and
would like to see a good turnout to the shows from
Surrey group members.
Some shows we attend have camping the night before
or staying in a hotel, this gives us chance to have
a bit of a knees up the night before the show with
lots of drink and food consumed !!!! And also gives
members to get to know one another ! So come give it
a go what have you got to lose ! It gets messy
sometimes but always a good laugh ! And lots of
photographic evidence !
Right so, our first show of the season is Central
Day at Santa Pod, April 23rd 2006
Tickets needs to be ordered in advance so we need to
have payment for tickets no later than March meet .
Price of ticket is £10 per person
Also on the day you will be able to take part in the
RWYB and the cost of this will be £15 for 3 runs
which you can pay on the day. You will need to take
your driving licence for this.
